Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 4 Weekend Days Required per Schedule Cycle | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio on night shift
  • Perform and assist with procedures including IV insertion, EKG interpretation, in-and-out Foley catheterization, lumbar puncture, central lines, moderate sedation, and cardioversion
  • Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators, EKG machines, and Teleneuro technology
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNCs, HUCs, and PCTs/Paramedics to deliver safe, high-quality emergency care
  • Document accurately using an EMR system (Level 3)
  • Maintain compliance with unit dress code requirements: cobalt/royal blue scrubs only

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • PALS or ENPC certification required
  • TNCC certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • STABLE certification
  • NRP certification
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency setting
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and enthusiastic personality with a willingness to learn
