Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Neuro Med/Surg)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit with expected patient ratios of 4–5:1 (night shift)
• Perform NIH/stroke assessments and comprehensive neuro assessments
• Conduct fall risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures
• Manage trach care and feeding tube maintenance
• Operate unit equipment including IV pumps, seizure monitoring devices, BiPAP, CPAP, and glucometers
• Document and manage patient records using the Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current, recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Neuro nursing experience, including familiarity with stroke and neuro patient populations
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to multitask, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team
