Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio (flexibility during acute surge periods)
• Manage a diverse patient population including trauma, stroke, DKA, sepsis, and complex cardiac conditions
• Utilize protocol-based nursing practice to independently initiate patient workups including labs, EKG, x-rays, and medications based on chief complaint
• Operate unit equipment including ultrasound-guided IV insertion, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis; document in Sunrise/Allscripts EMR
• Perform and assist with procedures including laceration repair, IO insertion, orthopedic trauma care, psychiatric holding care, and cardiopulmonary care
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation as required for contract staff

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and punctuality
• Strong understanding of medical terminology

Preferred Experience / Skills

• MOAB certification
• Strong proficiency in EKG interpretation
• Experience with ultrasound-guided IV insertion
• Motivated, creative problem-solver with a genuine commitment to patient care
