Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics in a high-volume ER environment
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 within a 46-room department with an average daily census of 135
• Utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for documentation and communication
• Adhere to weekend rotation expectations (every other weekend) and holiday work requirements as applicable to the assignment period
• May be required to float to a sister campus as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite, and no RTO is permitted during orientation week
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed within required deadlines to avoid start date delays
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency room setting
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience working with a broad patient population including pediatric and geriatric patients
