Job Title

ICU Float Registered Nurse – MICU (Level 3)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Days/Evenings/Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge as needed per unit

Key Responsibilities

• Float across a variety of ICU specialty units including MICU, SICU, Respiratory Special Care, and Surgical Progressive Care based on staffing needs
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced intensive care environment
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in critical care nursing practice
• Provide high-acuity patient care and adapt quickly to varying unit environments and patient populations

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License — NY license required; no other state licenses accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU acute care experience
• BLS certification — American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification — American Heart Association only
• NIHSS certification required
• Must have prior travel nursing experience — first-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple ICU subspecialties (MICU, SICU, Respiratory, or Progressive Care)
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a float or multi-unit staffing model
• Prior charge nurse experience in a critical care setting
