Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required | One winter and one summer holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, managing medical-surgical overflow and non-acute stroke patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1 and collaborate with nurse aides assigned at an average ratio of 8:1–10:1
• Titrate drips including insulin and pain medications per established protocols
• Validate telemetry strips as required; unit utilizes centralized telemetry monitoring
• Manage patients requiring respiratory support including BiPAP and high-flow oxygen
• Float to other units as needed and fill open shifts through self-scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Washington
• Epic EMR experience is required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience with telemetry
• Ability to read and validate telemetry strips independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke patients in a non-acute setting
• Familiarity with BiPAP and high-flow oxygen equipment
• Experience working in a self-scheduling environment
