Travel RN – Medical Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | Onsite | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups across medical, med-telemetry, and observation populations
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
- Perform and demonstrate competence in drug titration and telemetry monitoring
- Float on a rotational basis as required by the unit
- Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and perform duties consistent with applicable nursing practice standards and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- NIHSS certification — candidates may be submitted without it but must obtain prior to start date
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience in an inpatient setting
- Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Night shift orientation occurs on day shift — candidate must be available the entire orientation week
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Familiarity with lift equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and telemetry monitoring equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work with post-trauma, surgical, and medically complex patient populations
- Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced telemetry environment
