Key Responsibilities
- Function as a hospital float pool nurse, rotating across multiple units including Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU based on facility need
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care within scope of practice across all assigned units
- Maintain patient ratios as directed by unit assignment, with Med-Surg ratios up to 1:7
- Adhere to facility scheduling requirements; flexibility is essential as no schedule requests can be accommodated post-offer or onsite
- Be prepared to work major holidays that fall within the assignment period per facility holiday policy
- Complete all compliance onboarding requirements and orientation modules on time to avoid assignment start delays
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Must be flexible with scheduling across multiple units and shifts as determined by the facility
- All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO requests will be accepted post-offer or during orientation week — maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed within required timelines; core items and labs due within 48 hours of contract signing, all compliance documents due the Tuesday prior to start
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in a float pool or across multiple acute care units
- Familiarity with Emergency Department, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown environments
