Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Provide 60-minute evaluations and treatments, ensuring care is delivered under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay and supporting effective return to community activities
• Supervise and mentor students as assigned, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate oversight and completion of student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts, regulatory requirements, and professional codes of conduct while maintaining active professional licensure in good standing

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida
• Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, safe patient handling, and adherence to infection control and workplace safety protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Experience with clinical documentation systems and functional quality indicator assessments
• Experience supervising or mentoring PT students or support staff
• Active involvement in professional development, continuing education, or professional organizations
