Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed ICU serving cardiac, cardiac surgical (TAVR, CABG, etc.), and medical ICU populations at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic agents, and specialized infusions
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs and read cardiac monitor strips independently (Philips monitors)
• Manage patients on respiratory support equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen in collaboration with 24/7 on-site respiratory therapy
• Float to other ICUs as an RN, or to the ED or acute care areas as helping hands when needed
• Meet weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, with an expected minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• General critical care nursing experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted
• Clinicians must be present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CRRT experience preferred
• Experience caring for cardiac surgical patients (TAVR, CABG, and similar procedures)
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and adaptably within a collaborative team environment
