Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including thyroid cancer studies, lung scans, HIDA scans (with and without EF), scan and uptake, 3-phase bone scans, and whole body bone scans for primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric cases
- Operate unit-specific imaging equipment including Siemens Symbia EVO and GE Optima SPECT cameras within a 2-room nuclear medicine department averaging 4–10 patients per day
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals including I-131 and I-123, perform SPECT CT imaging, and manage dose ordering through pharmacy systems
- Start and manage peripheral IVs and assist with stress tests as part of routine patient care
- Work independently or alongside another Nuclear Medicine Technologist depending on daily staffing needs
- May occasionally float to a nearby imaging location and may be asked to call in dose orders on Sunday evenings in preparation for Monday scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nuclear medicine experience required
- Active BLS certification required
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required
- Washington State Nuclear Medicine license must be in hand or have verifiable proof of application submitted 6 or more weeks prior to start
- First-time travelers will only be considered with 5 or more years of experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Philips Vue PACS required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Siemens Symbia EVO, GE Optima SPECT, and Nutrec pharmacy systems
- Comfort working independently in a solo nuclear medicine technologist setting
- Experience with dose ordering workflows and radiopharmacy coordination
- Prior travel or multi-site imaging experience
