Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac Stepdown unit for diagnoses including chest pain, NSTEMI/STEMI, AMI, AFib, CHF, bradycardia, SVT/tachycardia, and related cardiac conditions
• Support and monitor patients undergoing or recovering from procedures such as left/right heart catheterization, TEE, cardioversion, stress testing, pacemaker placement, and AICD insertion
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Adhere to all unit compliance requirements and complete onboarding modules as directed during orientation
• Work assigned major holidays that fall within the contract period per facility holiday policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or comparable unit — first-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or during the assignment
• No RTO may be requested during Orientation Week (Monday–Sunday)
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; core items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, and all compliance documents are due the Tuesday prior to the start date
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or stepdown setting
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and post-procedural cardiac care
• Experience with pacemaker and AICD patient management
