Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Critical Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 or 2:1 depending on patient acuity
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff, demonstrating strong oral and written communication skills
• Manage IV tubing, syringes, and other clinical equipment with precision and manual dexterity
• Perform accurate medication calculations and apply information ordering skills in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Document patient care using the facility's EMR system (Cerner)
• Work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently across multiple concurrent patient care activities

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of current CCU/Critical Care experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to work with diverse patient and staff populations with cultural and spiritual sensitivity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR
