Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM); flexible to consider 4x10-hour shifts | Weekends and holidays are part of the rotation (every other weekend)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in an acute care hospital setting to patients with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic conditions, amputee cases, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, and other progressive neurological disorders
• Fabricate and apply dynamic, functional, and static splints as clinically indicated
• Evaluate and treat upper and lower extremity dysfunction
• Float within facility and scope of practice to an outpatient setting as needed
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required per assignment schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia State Occupational Therapy License required at time of submission
• NBCOT Certification required
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience (first-time travelers are welcome)
• All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or on-site, and no RTO is permitted during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedics and splinting (dynamic, functional, and static)
• Experience treating amputee patients and upper/lower extremity conditions
• Background working with patients diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, arthritis, or other progressive neurological disorders
• Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment
