Travel RN – Telemetry (2W)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every other weekend required | Projected Start: November 2, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5/6
• Perform unit procedures including Foley insertion, peripheral IV placement, blood draws, and Code Stroke initiation
• Document and manage patient care using the MEDITECH EMR system
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and unit secretaries as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Float to PCU and Med/Surg units as needed per unit guidelines
• Adhere to unit-specific competencies and dress code (royal blue scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid for the state of Texas)
• NIH Stroke Scale competency required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Specialty certification in Telemetry or a related field
• Experience with MEDITECH EMR
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
