Shift Breakdown: 3x12 hrs
Shift: 12 hours, nights

172 bed, Level II Trauma, Teaching Hospital. Department Notes: 19 beds, private & semi private rooms. Patient population is couplet care (Mom + Baby) and stable antepartum patients Minimum 2 years experience working in Post Partum setting. Will rotate working in the nursery; will go to the OR and help with skin to skin and will be the baby nurse while Mom is in recovery. Will provide breast feeding support. May be responsible for managing post partum patients on magnesium sulfate drip. Ratio is 1:3, but will adjust if patient is an unstable magnesium sulfate drip.
