Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Mother Baby (Float Pool)
Client: Mount Sinai – West Hospital (NYC)
Location: 1000 10th Ave, New York, NY 10019
Start Date: December 1, 2025
End Date: February 28, 2026
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend required
Contract Type: Travel / Contract
Dept: Nursing Float Pool – Women & Children’s Services

Job Overview

The RN provides safe, high-quality nursing care to postpartum, antepartum, and newborn patients within the Mother Baby unit. This is a float pool role requiring flexibility across related Women & Children’s units.

Education:

  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) – REQUIRED (non-negotiable)

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active New York RN license (in good standing)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in L&D, Antepartum, and Postpartum
  • Magnesium Sulfate administration experience – required
  • Must be well-versed in newborn assessment & postpartum care
  • EPIC EMR experience – highly preferred
  • 1 year of travel experience preferred (not required for per diem roles)

  • Float between Mother Baby, L&D, and Antepartum areas
  • Average census: 17.4
  • Total beds: 23

  • All required experiences (L&D, Antepartum, Postpartum, Magnesium Sulfate, Newborn Assessment) must be clearly listed on the resume for submission.
  • This is a night shift float pool position, so flexibility is key.
  • The facility prefers candidates who are comfortable floating and independent.
