Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry

Facility Location: 750 E Adams St, Syracuse, NY 13210
Shift: Nights | 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Position Overview:

Seeking experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs for adult inpatient units in a Level I Trauma Center. Candidates must be proficient in IV starts, lab draws, and telemetry monitoring, with the ability to provide high-quality, independent patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within past 2 years) in a Level I or II Trauma Center
• Licensure: Active New York RN License (in good standing)
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA) – Required
• Preferred:
  • EPIC EMR experience
  • Level I or II Trauma background
• Skills Required:
  • IV insertion and blood draws
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities

Schedule Details:

• Shift: Nights (7p–7:30a)
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Required – must work 2 out of 3 major seasonal holidays
• RTO: Excessive or fixed-day RTO not approved

Additional Details:

• Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and background check
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must have an active, unrestricted license (no suspensions or investigations)
• EPIC experience and strong interpersonal communication skills preferred
• Travelers will only be considered if experienced in facilities of similar or greater size
