Description

Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Location: York, PA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (06:00 – 16:30); may extend to 19:00 as needed. Weekend and call coverage required as needed.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a wide range of invasive and interventional cardiac procedures in both diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab settings.
  • Perform accurate patient monitoring, hemodynamic interpretation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment, including fluoroscopy systems and related devices.
  • Perform EKG lead placement, access-site preparation, sterile scrub duties, and room circulation.
  • Support procedures such as:
    • Diagnostic and interventional catheterizations (right and left heart)
    • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
    • Cardiac stent placement
    • Temporary pacemaker placement
    • Impella insertion*, IABP placement/removal*, ECMO*
    • Structural heart procedures such as TAVR*, Watchman*, ASD/PFO closure*
    • Rotablader atherectomy*, OCT imaging*, laser-assisted procedures*
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection-control standards.
  • Document accurately within the EPIC charting system.
  • Participate in call rotation and remain until last patient is fully cared for.
  • Float within the department as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Hemodynamic monitoring
    • Accurate monitoring and equipment setup
    • Scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field
    • Dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
  • EPIC charting experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity invasive cardiology environment with multiple Cath and EP labs.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
  • BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC only)
  • Any state-required technologist license or registration for Cath Lab/Interventional specialties, if applicable.
