Job Overview
An outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Bakersfield, California is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for a PT who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient setting, values one-on-one patient care, and is focused on functional outcomes and measurable patient progress.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient rehabilitation environment
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and functional needs
- Provide hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise programs
- Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care accordingly
- Complete evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
- Educate patients on injury prevention, body mechanics, and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams as needed
Requirements
- Active California Physical Therapist license
- Outpatient experience preferred
- Strong orthopedic and functional rehabilitation skills
- Ability to manage a full outpatient caseload efficiently
- Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
