Description

Job Overview
An outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Bakersfield, California is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a 26-week travel assignment. This longer-term role is ideal for an OT who enjoys working with a diverse outpatient population and is focused on functional independence, activities of daily living, and return-to-work or daily activity goals.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional outcomes
  • Address ADLs, IADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function
  • Provide patient and family education to support long-term success
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapy and interdisciplinary care teams

Requirements

  • Active California Occupational Therapist license
  • Outpatient experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of functional and orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Ability to manage a full outpatient caseload efficiently
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
