Job Overview
A Skilled Nursing Facility in Eureka, Kansas is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for a 13-week travel assignment. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned RN with strong long-term care experience who can step in during a transition period to oversee clinical operations, support staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Oversee nursing operations and clinical staff within the facility
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain survey readiness
Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily clinical workflows
Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Provide leadership, mentoring, and clinical guidance to nursing staff
Collaborate with facility administration and interdisciplinary teams

Requirements

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state (if applicable)
Prior Director of Nursing or senior nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
Strong knowledge of long-term care operations and regulatory compliance
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to step into an interim leadership role with minimal onboarding
