Job Overview
An acute care hospital in Machias, Maine is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for an OR RN who is confident circulating in an acute care environment and prefers a consistent day-shift schedule in a community-based hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room for scheduled surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are available
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
• Document intraoperative care accurately and thoroughly
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and AORN standards

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maine or compact state (if applicable)
• Recent Operating Room / Circulator experience required
• BLS certification required (additional certifications may be required)
• Strong knowledge of perioperative workflows and sterile technique
• Ability to work independently in an acute care setting
