Shift: 3x12 Nights
Schedule:36 hours 
Hourly Pay Rate: $63.72-$66.72

Education / Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
ADN or BSN required
Strong knowledge of labor, delivery, and maternal-newborn care
Ability to work in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment

Licensure

Active RN License in the state of practice OR
Compact (NLC) RN License (if applicable)
Must meet travel nurse eligibility (if applicable)

Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required or Strongly Preferred
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
PALS – Preferred
Fetal Monitoring Certification (AWHONN / EFM) – Required or Strongly Preferred

Experience

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Experience with:
Labor management and delivery support
Continuous fetal monitoring and interpretation
High-risk obstetric patients
Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Experience administering:
IV medications and fluids
Epidurals and oxytocin (Pitocin)
Ability to respond to obstetric emergencies

Skills & Competencies

Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills
Ability to recognize and respond to fetal distress
Excellent critical-thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently on night shifts
Strong communication and patient-education skills
Ability to supervise and delegate care to support staff

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for laboring patients
Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals as ordered
Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
Document care accurately in the EMR
Supervise and delegate care to support staff
Support the facility CNO in maintaining safe, high-quality patient care
