Job Title: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Job Summary

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. The role ensures patient safety, image accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and facility standards while delivering patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare and position patients for CT examinations, ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate CT equipment and adjust technical factors to obtain optimal image quality
• Administer contrast media as required and monitor patient response
• Accurately document procedures and imaging data
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 24 months of recent CT / Computed Tomography experience
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification
• Valid Driver’s License
• Discipline-specific CT Skills Checklist

Preferred:

• Active Iowa (IA) Radiology License at time of submission
• Professional reference from a supervisor or manager within the last 24 months

Licensure & Certifications

• ARRT (Required)
• BLS (Required)
• Iowa State Radiology License (Preferred)
