Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Location

Watertown NY

Duration

13 Weeks

Shift

8-hour day shifts
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Weekend, holiday, and on-call required

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room
Maintain a safe, sterile, and aseptic surgical environment in OR/ASU settings
Assess patient needs including clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual aspects of care
Identify and address safety risks, including proper use of patient lifts and safe patient handling
Interpret lethal dysrhythmias and respond appropriately
Function effectively in high-stress situations using strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
Prioritize, delegate, and provide leadership to support patient care and workflow
May assume charge nurse responsibilities as required
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current New York State RN license or eligibility for licensure
Successful completion and passing of final exam required as a condition of employment
Strong knowledge of nursing principles and perioperative practices
Ability to work independently and in fast-paced surgical environments
