Description
Title: CT Technologist (Multimodality – CT & X-Ray)
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift:
Night shift | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Scheduled Saturday–Monday
Manager may consider 4x10s if requested
No on-call required
No floating required
Job Responsibilities
- Perform CT and X-ray imaging for emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient populations
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images with minimal supervision
- Perform CT exams of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal system, with and without contrast
- Conduct vascular CTAs (e.g., PE, aorta, carotids)
- Perform image post-processing, including multiplanar reconstructions (MPR) and ROI measurements
- Start peripheral IVs and prepare/administer contrast media
- Adhere to radiation safety, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
- Work collaboratively within a team-oriented radiology department
- Document exams using Epic EMR and Sectra PACS
Required Skills, Certifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) required
- SCRQSA (R) and SCRQSA (CT) required
- BLS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
- Ability to work independently and maintain high imaging standards
- First-time travelers accepted
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
Equipment & Systems Experience
- Siemens CT scanner (no cardiac CT)
- Portable X-ray units (Shimadzu)
- GE X-ray room
- Sectra PACS
- Epic EMR
Patient Population & Work Setting
- Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department settings
- Average daily census: ~40 patients
- 75-bed acute care hospital
