Licensure & Certifications

• ARRT (CT) Required
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License Required
• BLS (AHA) Required
• IV Contrast Certification
• Fluoroscopy permit (if applicable) — Preferred
• Must be eligible to work in New York without sponsorship

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience in a hospital or trauma setting
• Experience performing CT scans on ED, inpatient, ICU, and outpatient populations
• Strong experience with:
  • Contrast-enhanced studies
  • Trauma and stroke protocols
  • CTA (head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis)
  • Abdominal, chest, and neuro CT
• Prior experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently and handling high-volume workloads

Technical Skills

• Proficient with multi-slice CT scanners (Siemens, GE, or Philips preferred)
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and optimize image quality
• Experience with power injectors and contrast administration
• Comfortable with portables, bariatric patients, and critical care imaging

EMR & Workflow

• Experience with Cerner, Epic, or similar hospital EMR required
• Ability to document exams, contrast usage, and patient care accurately and in real time

Shift & Schedule Flexibility

• Must be willing to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and call as required by the department
• Must be able to float between CT, ED CT, and inpatient CT areas if needed

• Strong communication skills with physicians, nurses, and transport staff
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-acuity situations
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and hospital compliance
