Job Title: CT Technologist (Evening Shift)

Location: White Plains, NY

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Evenings (15:00 – 23:00 or 16:00 – 00:00) | Mon–Fri + Alternate Weekends

Job Summary

A Hospital in White Plains, NY is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our acute care radiology team during the evening shift. This role is focused exclusively on Computed Tomography, supporting our emergency department and inpatient services with high-quality diagnostic imaging. You will operate advanced GE equipment to produce cross-sectional images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate contrast administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Imaging: Perform routine and emergency CT scans in an acute care setting, adhering to established protocols for stroke (Code Gray) and trauma cases.
• Contrast Management: Independently administer intravenous contrast media; must maintain a valid New York State license to inject.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain GE CT scanners; perform daily/weekly quality assurance and calibrations to ensure optimal image quality.
• Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for procedures, verify two identifiers, and explain the imaging process to alleviate anxiety.
• Documentation: Utilize Epic EMR and PACS for accurate data entry, tracking scan parameters, and documenting patient history.
• Collaboration: Assist radiologists during special procedures and coordinate with the transport team for patient arrivals and returns.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care setting.
• Licensure: * Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Must have NYS Injection Certification (License to inject contrast).
• Certifications: * ARRT (CT) Certification required.
  • BLS (AHA, ARC, or HSI).
• Technical Proficiency: Strong preference for candidates with GE scanner experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Assignment Details & Expectations

• Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
• Shift Flexibility: 8-hour evening shifts (3p-11p or 4p-12a) with alternate weekend requirements.
• No X-Ray: This position is strictly dedicated to the CT department; no cross-training or x-ray duties required.
• Parking: Minimum $1.25/hour for parking at the facility or nearby municipal garages (e.g., Longview Cromwell Garage).
