Job Overview
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. This position requires strong critical care skills, flexibility to float, and prior ICU experience in high-acuity environments.
This is a night shift role with weekend requirements and guaranteed hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to critically ill adult ICU patients
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
- Manage ventilated patients and advanced cardiac monitoring
- Administer and titrate critical care drips per protocol
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary critical care teams
- Float as needed to sister facilities and units including:
- Med Surg
- Telemetry
- Step Down
- Emergency Department
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner
- Adhere to hospital safety, medication, and compliance policies
Requirements
- Active Arizona RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Minimum 12 months recent experience required
- Must live 50+ miles from facility (no local candidates accepted)
- Ability to float to sister facilities within Tucson
- Cerner experience preferred
- Must meet all credentialing requirements prior to start
Additional Details
- Shift: 3x12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 36 hours guaranteed weekly
- Weekends required: 5 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
- No on-call requirement
- First to float
- 12 hours non-billable orientation
- Scrubs: Any solid color (no prints)
- Biweekly billing cycle (Sunday–Sunday work week)
- OT must be pre-approved
Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience.
Candidates must reside 50+ miles from facility. No locals accepted.
Floating to sister facilities within Tucson is required.
AZ license, BLS, and ACLS required at submission.
Start date subject to credentialing completion. Delays due to missing compliance items may result in fees.
