Title: Mammography Technologist

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day – 5x8 Hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures under the direct order of a radiologist
• Perform stereotactic breast procedures
• Greet patients, explain procedures, and prepare them for exams
• Position patients accurately and select proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality radiographs
• Maintain mammography quality standards per ACR Mammography QA/QC Manual (1999) and Hologic Selenia Dimensions QC Manual
• Ensure compliance with MQSA continuing education requirements
• Enter and track patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation and billing
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
• Successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
• Complete required drug screening within two weeks prior to start date

Required Qualifications:

• AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Active NYS license/registration (must be active at time of submission)
• ARRT certification in Mammography
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience (no exceptions)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience (preferably Level I or II facility)
• IV therapy experience
• Ability to read telemetry strips
• Willingness to float to other areas within the campus as needed
