Position Overview

Medical City Plano is seeking experienced CVICU RNs for night‑shift travel assignments within its high‑acuity Cardiovascular ICU. This unit cares for complex cardiac and post‑operative cardiovascular patients, requiring strong critical‑care skills, rapid clinical decision‑making, and the ability to manage advanced hemodynamic support. This is an auto‑offer position for qualified candidates.

Unit Details

• Unit: CVICU (652)
• Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care
• Shift: 7p–7a
• Schedule: 36 hours/week
• Floating: As needed within ICU‑level units
• Environment: Fast‑paced, high‑acuity, collaborative critical‑care team

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience
• Strong background in CVICU or high‑acuity cardiac ICU preferred
• Ability to manage:
• • Post‑op cardiac surgery patients
  • Advanced hemodynamics
  • Drips, vents, and critical titration protocols

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN license (TX or Compact)
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
