Travel RN – Interventional Radiology

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse for a travel assignment supporting a procedural imaging team. This role involves providing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed using advanced imaging guidance.

The Interventional Radiology nurse assists physicians during procedures, monitors patients throughout sedation and recovery, and supports vascular access services. Candidates must be confident working in a high-acuity procedural environment and able to function independently.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Schedule: 5x8 hour day shifts
• Shift Time: Approximately 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Charting System: Meditech Expanse
• Scrubs: Personal scrubs allowed

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Assist physicians during minimally invasive image-guided procedures
• Monitor patients during moderate sedation and recovery
• Perform and assist with vascular access procedures including PICC placement
• Support procedures such as angiograms, central line placements, biopsies, and drainage procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
• Ensure patient safety and procedural readiness before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and procedural staff

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience
• Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology experience
• Critical care experience required
• Defibrillation certification
• Strong IV skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced procedural environment
