Travel RN – Interventional Radiology

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse for a travel assignment supporting a high-acuity procedural department. This role involves providing nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive image-guided procedures while assisting physicians and monitoring patients throughout the procedural and recovery process.

The Interventional Radiology nurse will support pre-procedure preparation, assist during procedures involving moderate sedation, and provide post-procedure monitoring. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Overview

Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts
Shift Time: Approximately 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Charting System: Epic
Scrubs: Royal blue

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
Assist physicians during minimally invasive image-guided procedures
Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation and throughout recovery
Support stroke-related procedures and vascular interventions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care
Float to similar units or nearby affiliated facilities if needed

Requirements

Active RN license
BLS certification
ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale certification
Epic charting experience required
Previous travel experience required
Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology or procedural nursing experience

Epic charting experience required for consideration First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment Stroke experience required On-call rotation required, including approximately 12 call shifts every 6 weeks Call response time must be within 30 minutes Weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility for call response requirements Travelers may be required to float to nearby affiliated facilities Requested time off must be submitted with the application Candidates must be willing to work designated holiday coverage during the contract
