ICU Float RN – Springfield, MA
Contract: 13 Weeks • 48 hrs/week • Start: 4/13
Float: MICU, SICU, IMC
Unit Size: 32 beds • Ratios: 1:2 (1:1 for high acuity)
💰 Pay Package
- Taxable: $45/hr
- Stipends: $1,414/week
- Total Weekly Gross: $3,754/week
📌 Position Summary:
Seeking a strong, experienced ICU Float RN traveler for a high‑acuity critical care environment. This nurse will float between Medical ICU, Neuro Critical Care, SICU, and IMC based on staffing needs.
The unit manages complex cases including sepsis, ESRD/AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post‑cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure.
The ideal RN is confident, adaptable, and able to step into a Level 1‑style ICU environment with autonomy and strong clinical judgment.
✔️ Requirements:
- Active MA RN license (or eligibility)
- 1 year Level 1 ICU experience required
- Otherwise 2 years ICU experience required
- Preferred background in MICU
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA required)
- Must meet all compliance and immunization requirements prior to start
🛠️ Role Expectations:
- Provide high‑level critical care across multiple ICU settings
- Manage ventilators, titrate drips, and care for unstable patients
- Care for CRRT/CVVH patients
- Respond to rapid changes in patient condition
- Float safely and confidently between ICU and IMC environments
- Work effectively in a busy, high‑acuity 32‑bed unit
