Description
Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Experience Required: 2 years. Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps. Cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Adults/Geriatrics
Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, Pneumonia, CHG exacerbation, Fall with injuries, MVC with injuries, Pulmonary embolism, DVT, UTI, Pneumothorax, GI bleeds, CVA
Floating: If yes, where?
All units within scope at Mercy
Within region and scope of practice
Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
