Description

Travel Cath Lab Tech

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment supporting a combined Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology department. This role involves assisting physicians during invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care and procedural efficiency.

The Cath Lab Tech will support a variety of diagnostic and interventional cases, operate specialized imaging equipment, and work closely with the procedural team in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Job Overview

Specialty: Cath Lab Tech
Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts
Shift Time: Approximately 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Charting System: Meditech
Scrubs: Provided by facility

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and interventional procedures
Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment
Prepare procedure rooms and ensure equipment readiness
Monitor patients during procedures and assist with sterile technique
Support procedures including heart catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and vascular interventions
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams

Requirements

Active certification as a Radiologic Technologist
BLS certification
ARRT certification (R) required
Fluoroscopy certification required
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
Scrub experience required
Prior travel experience preferred

Additional Details

3 procedural suites within the department
Average of 8–10 cases per day
Mix of Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures
Acute care hospital setting

On-call required, including approximately 1–2 evenings per week Weekend call required, typically two weekends per month 30-minute response time required for call Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor holiday No floating required One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
