Travel RN – Wound Care
We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse for a travel assignment supporting a specialized wound care program. This role involves assessing, treating, and managing patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and skin integrity concerns in a clinical setting.
The Wound Care RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, promote healing, and prevent complications. This position requires strong clinical expertise and attention to detail in wound management.
Job Overview
- Specialty: Wound Care
- Schedule: 5x8 hour day shifts
- Shift Time: Approximately 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Charting System: Epic
- Setting: Acute care hospital
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Perform wound care procedures including dressing changes and debridement support
- Provide ostomy and continence care
- Educate patients and staff on wound prevention and management strategies
- Monitor healing progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Wound care certification required (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Experience in wound care, ostomy, and skin management
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
