Contract Duration: 13 Weeks, with potential for extension
Schedule: 40 hours/week | 8-hour shifts | Day & Evening Shifts

Position Overview

Washington Hospital Healthcare System is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join the Radiology team. This role involves performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) imaging studies with accuracy and efficiency while providing excellent patient care in an acute care setting.

The ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable, and ready to support the department’s operational needs, including coverage in both CT and X-ray when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging studies on head, abdomen, pelvis, and other body regions.
• Operate GE CT scanners and related imaging equipment.
• Accurately document imaging studies in Centricity EMR / PACS.
• Maintain patient safety and follow infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the Radiology Lead Tech and department team to ensure smooth workflow.
• Support both CT and X-ray coverage as needed.
• Adhere to departmental scheduling and flexible weekend rotations (every other weekend).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience
• ARRT Certification (CT) – California
• Fluoroscopy License
• BLS Certification
• Experience with GE scanners preferred
• Ability to adapt to department needs and work collaboratively

Technology & Equipment

• Scanners: 3 GE CT scanners
• EMR / PACS: Centricity
• Other Equipment: Standard Radiology imaging systems

Work Environment & Schedule

• Shifts: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, with Saturday/Sunday every other weekend (weeks with weekend work will have 1 weekday off)
• Two technologists are on shift at all times; never the only tech in-house.
• No call or standby required.
• Scrubs: Ceil blue
• Acute care setting, Radiology/CT unit, flexible and supportive team environment

Orientation

• Department tour + one week of on-site training
