A Mammography Technologist is a specialized imaging professional responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams using advanced breast imaging equipment. The Mammography Technologist works closely with radiologists and healthcare providers to obtain high‑quality images, ensure patient comfort and safety, and support the early detection of breast disease.

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for the entire imaging process, including patient assessment and education, proper positioning, operating mammography equipment (including 3D/tomosynthesis), adhering to radiation safety standards, reviewing patient history, and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Massachusetts State license for Radiology and Mammography
• ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography
• One year of experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred
• Current BLS/CPR
• TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X‑ray (if applicable)
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
