Travel CT Technologist – Somerville, NJ

Position Overview

A reputable medical center in Somerville, NJ is seeking an experienced Travel CT Technologist to support its busy overnight imaging operations. This role requires strong CT competency, the ability to work independently, and comfort performing both basic and advanced CT exams in a fast‑paced ER and inpatient environment. GE 64‑slice experience is required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent CT experience
• Active ARRT (CT) certification
• Current BLS
• New Jersey Radiologic Technologist License (must be active before start)
• Must be able to inject contrast
• Experience with GE 64 Multi‑Slice CT scanners
• Ability to work independently and manage a steady caseload
• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Experience performing all CT studies, including CTAs

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality CT exams, including advanced studies and CTAs
• Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image optimization
• Support ER and inpatient imaging needs during night shifts
• Administer IV contrast per facility and state guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation within EPIC
• Collaborate with nurses, technologists, and radiologists to ensure efficient workflow
• Provide professional, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced environment
• Manage approximately 25 cases per day
