Position Description
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CAT Scan Technologist (CT Tech) to assume responsibility and accountability for performing diagnostic CT imaging and radiographic procedures in an acute-care clinical setting. The CT Technologist operates computerized tomography scanners and radiographic imaging equipment to produce high‑quality cross‑sectional images used by physicians for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
The CT Technologist collaborates closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to assess patient needs, obtain relevant clinical history, explain imaging procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after imaging exams. This role requires the technologist to exercise sound clinical judgment and technical expertise while adhering to radiation safety standards, imaging protocols, and regulatory requirements. The CT Technologist consistently performs according to professional standards, facility policies, and ethical guidelines to support optimal patient outcomes across all age populations.
Minimum Requirements
- Two (2) years of recent CT experience required
- ARRT Certification (RT) (CT)
- Oregon Radiologic Technologist license required or in process
- Candidates actively obtaining licensure will be considered; licensure fee reimbursement available
- OBMI Certification required
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Current TB screening (TB questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X‑ray), per contract requirements
- Ability to meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
