Description
Job Summary:
The RN – Labor & Delivery is responsible for providing safe, effective, and patient-centered care to mothers and newborns. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery
- Assess and monitor mother and baby during labor and delivery
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as required
- Educate patients and families on care and procedures
- Document patient care accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
- Ensure patient safety and quality care
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience
- Labor & Delivery experience required
- Active California RN License
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN)
Skills:
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Ability to handle high-risk situations
- Patient-focused care approach
