Description
Job Summary:
The Med/Surg RN is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in Med/Surg unit
- Perform patient assessments and monitor condition
- Develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments
- Document patient care accurately
- Coordinate with physicians and healthcare staff
- Ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Provide patient and family education
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience
- Med/Surg experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Active California RN License
- BLS (AHA)
Skills:
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Ability to float between units
- Patient-focused care approach
