OB/GYN Registered Nurse  
Location: IHS Facility in Shiprock, NM 

Pay Rate: $68 per hour plus $1,246 per week for travel stipends  
Schedule: 7:00 AM/PM to 7:30 PM/AM, 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the other week. 

Contract Length: 6 months with the option to extend 

Benefits:  $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare, 10 days PTO, Accrued sick days, and 11 Paid Holidays. 

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Registered Nurse to join a high-impact inpatient team at an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Shiprock, NM. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment serving diverse and underserved communities. 
Requirements: 

• Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN nursing experience
• Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or territory)
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)  
  • ACLS (AHA)  
  • NRP (AAP)  
  • Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)
• Strong clinical skills in labor & delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Valid Driver's license 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide comprehensive care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn units 
• Perform patient admission, assessment, and continuous fetal monitoring 
• Manage high-risk obstetric conditions (e.g., preeclampsia, fetal distress, hemorrhage) 
• Administer medications including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, TXA, and blood products 
• Assist in labor, delivery, cesarean sections, and recovery care 
• Provide immediate newborn care, including resuscitation when required 
• Deliver postpartum couplet care, including maternal recovery and newborn assessments 
• Support Level I & Level II newborn care, including stabilization for transfer if needed 
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes 
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
