Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15)is the shift for this role. The Job Description:POSITION: RN – Neuro PCU SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING ============================== • Shift hours: 3x12s 645a-715p • Charting: EPIC experience required • Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block • RTO Block Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission. • Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. • Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract. • Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes • Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria. REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS =================================== • ACLS / BLS / NIHSS • Pending License Accepted: Yes only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license. REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS ======================== • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response dysrhythmia interpretation/management Rapid Response/Code teams • IV therapy phlebotomy blood product administration central/peripheral line care • Medication administration cardiac drips no titration • Respiratory support nasal cannula O2 admin non-invasive airway mgmt • Rapid Response Isolation precautions UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING ========================== • Ratios: 1:4–5 Please confirm traveler is comfortable with a 1:5 ratio • Patient population: Adult patients with neurological conditions • Includes 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring • Care includes neurosurgical recovery stroke management neuro-specific diagnoses and medical overflow • Floating: Traveler will be required to float to units within their clinical skillset HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS ==================== Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is a 703-bed acute care teaching hospital and the flagship facility of Carilion Clinic.
