Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for independently administering a variety of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and injections, chemo; hormonal and non-chemo/hormonal in accordance with the providers order. In addition accessing port-a-caths, PICCs and Hickman catheters. Performing venipuncture, PICC and Hickman dressings and labs via ports. Appropriate clinical care of all patients assigned. Maintains accurate, concise, and complete records on the patients condition, treatment, medications, and responses to treatment. Monitors and maintains accurate records of all intravenous therapies and the patients responses to treatment. Notifies the Medical Oncologist or Nurse Practitioner of unusual occurrences and initiates appropriate emergency action when necessary. Provide education to patients families and caregivers regarding medications and treatments expected responses and side effects. Disease process nutrition, activity, and physical adjustments related to the disease process or treatment. Responsible for verifying informed consent prior to administering chemotherapy. The individual must demonstrate the knowledge of proper handling administration and disposal of hazardous drugs and proper usage of PPE. Maintains a safe environment complies with policies and procedures. Must be proficient in Epic EMR. Bed Size: 18 semi-private bays

Rates are not always the best, would be nice to have a few more eastern and southern state options, like Mississippi or North Carolina cities
