Job Title- Cardiac Cath Lab RN- Oshkosh, WI (Contract)
Facility Overview
- Location: Oshkosh, WI 54904
- Level III Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center
- 72-bed hospital with 2 dedicated rooms (1 EP/Cath room, 1 Cath Lab)
Position Highlights
- Shifts: 10-hour day shifts (40 hours/week)
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Cath Lab for RNs and Techs (first-time travelers accepted)
- Average Daily Cases: 4
- Patient Types/Diagnoses:
- Cath Lab: Diagnostics, interventional (femoral/radial), IFR, FFR, balloon pumps
- EP: Pacemakers, AICDs, loop recorders, diagnostic EP, right-sided ablations
- Key Skills: Cath Lab experience, critical care (ED/ICU for RNs), balloon pumps, temporary pacers. Must thrive in 24/7/365 STEMI program—strong team player with excellent communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and willingness to teach/educate.
Licensure & Certifications
- RN: Active WI (or compact) RN license, BLS, ACLS
- RT/CVT: BLS, ARRT or RCIS; ACLS preferred
On-Call & Scheduling
- On-Call: 8 AM–noon Saturdays/Sundays (stress tests, TEEs, cardioversions)
- Weekend Rotation: Call only
- Holidays: Call required
- RTO: Manager approval needed
- Floating: Limited to department rooms and pre-op area only
Department Support & Technology
- Team Support: Receptionist/HUC, Respiratory Therapy, Hospitalist
- EMR: Epic
- Equipment: Maclab hemodynamics (travelers do not monitor), Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis med dispensing, Manifold contrast, PACS, Client C-arms
- Perks: Scrubs provided (bring own leads recommended); free parking lot
Orientation: Facility and unit-specific (details provided upon hire)
