Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level III Trauma Center in Oshkosh, WI, requiring at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience and participation in a 24/7 STEMI program.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 2 rooms: one combined EP/Cath room and one dedicated Cath Lab
• Patient population includes diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases using femoral and radial approaches, IFR, FFR, and balloon pumps, as well as EP procedures including pacemakers, AICDs, loop recorders, diagnostic EP studies, and right-sided ablations
• Average of 4 cases per day
• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• On-call required on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for stress tests, TEEs, and cardioversions
• Holiday call coverage is required
• Floating limited to between rooms within the department and the pre-op area
• EMR: Epic
• Hemodynamic monitoring system: Maclab (travelers will not monitor cases independently)
• IV pump: Alaris | Medication dispensing: Pyxis | Imaging: GE C-arms

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
• Critical care experience in an ED or ICU setting required
• Experience with interventional and diagnostic cath lab procedures, balloon pumps, and temporary pacers
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
• Willingness to teach and educate team members
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, dated within the past year
• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Candidate middle name or initial required for consideration

• This unit operates a 24/7, 365-day STEMI program, requiring strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced environment
• Department support includes a receptionist/HUC, respiratory therapy, and hospitalist coverage
• Scrubs are provided by the facility; lead aprons are available, but candidates are encouraged to bring their own
