Description

Job Title: Medical Surgical (MS) RN – Travel Assignment
Start Date: June 8th
Location: Utica, NY
Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Schedule: 36 hours/week
Block scheduling not guaranteed

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) for a travel assignment. This role requires strong clinical skills in post-surgical care and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with floating responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with post-surgical and acute medical conditions
Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in condition
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders
Manage post-operative care including pain control, wound care, and mobility support
Operate and monitor equipment such as IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of recent MS experience
Travel experience required
Active New York RN License (must be in hand)
Experience with EPIC EMR
Current AHA BLS Certification
Floating: Required
